Your profile

  • Completed studies or an equivalent qualification in the IT sector.
  • Several years of experience in the administration of large Oracle systems.
  • Sound knowledge of Oracle DB (12c, 19c), shell scripting, SQL/PL-SQL and Linux.
  • Experience in the administration of Oracle ASM, Clusterware and Dataguard.
  • Fluent in written and spoken German, knowledge of English an advantage.
  • Proactive, resilient and team-oriented way of working.

Your tasks

Team management and coordination
  • Management and coordination of the Hungarian sub-team, consisting of field DBAs.
  • Operational assignment as Senior-Level Field DBA.
  • Support with resource and shift planning to ensure optimal staffing of the team (vacation, illness, etc.).
  • Documentation of all planning and changes in the relevant tools (Excel, OC-D-2024).
  • Monitoring of ticket and change processing, adherence to a lead time of 4-5 days.
  • Ensure that escalations (tickets/bambis) remain below 2%.
  • Participate in morning run meetings, team meetings and relevant Oracle forums, and contribute relevant information to the team.
  • Coordination of vacation plans with other Team Leads, whereby a TL must always be present.
Database management
  • Operation, optimization and troubleshooting for Oracle databases (versions 12c and 19c).
  • Planning and implementation of upgrades and migrations to new versions.
  • Support with database planning and migration in new projects.
  • Creation and maintenance of technical documentation.
Communication and collaboration
  • Use of communication channels such as MS Teams, Skype, e-mail and telephone.
  • Close cooperation with other sub-teams and coordination with the RUN team lead.
  • Regular exchange with stakeholders to ensure smooth cooperation.
